Across all barriers of language, disability and fear, Barrow Hill is committed to helping every child find a home here. We employ an inclusion program and a buddy system that ensures a smooth transition for every new student to our school. All years are exposed to a school-wide focus on mutual respect for one another.

The Buddy System
Each year, incoming students from Robinsfield Infant School are partnered up with an older student from Barrow Hill. These students help provide a welcoming atmosphere to the new students by offering a school-wide tour and helping them get acquainted to all the Barrow Hill has to offer.
Meet the Worry Wipers
The Worry Wipers are a group of peer-elected students who their fellow students can talk to about problems, conflicts and anything else on their minds. This group promotes Barrow Hill’s sense of community and teaches children how to communicate better.
Meeting Every Need
We work hard to break through every barrier to learning, no matter how difficult. Our inclusion programme helps us meet the needs of every Barrow Hill student, especially those with specific learning challenges.
