MoBroadbandNow, a private-public partnership, was launched summer of 2009 in efforts to aggressively compete for federal funds, under the 2009 American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA), to expand broadband accessibility to 95 percent of the total population of Missouri, a significant increase from current projected accessibility of 79.7 percent. Contract work consisted of planning, designing, writing and creating literature for use by the state of Missouri. Information sheets were to cover benefits of using broadband technology and expanding it’s use in several different arenas. Work done as part of a larger project under the supervision of Dr. Connie Book of Elon University.
